Crunches and reverse crunches


Lie on your back. You can bend your knees or keep your legs straight, there are many ways to do crunches, so choose the one that you like the most. For better posture, place your hands behind your neck. Your neck should be resting on your hands, your abs are supposed to do the job, not your neck. Try to keep that in mind because that could really hurt your back. Lift your shoulders off the floor and try to hold that position. You can lift higher to be in a sitting position but it doesn’t really help you build your abs faster.

You can try twisted crunches, where you twist your waist to build your sides muscles, and reverse crunches where your back is resting and you lift your legs while having your knees bent at a 90 degrees angle or keeping your legs straight, as you like. After that, you can try to lift your hips. You have to be careful to use your abs only. If you can’t, then you just need more practice with regular crunches !
